I just finished watching the debate. Donald Trump blew it. Big time. He is incapable of being clear and resolute and instead relies on constantly propping himself up as better than the other guy. The stupid comments about how his crowds are soooo much bigger than hers are so puerile. And she got him when she said people were leaving his rallies in droves. Never mind she was lying. She knew he would react. He cannot help himself.
This just in--Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris...
Let's not forget that Taylor wants to appeal to her base which are young, female, mostly liberal voters. Let's also not forget her soon to be fiancé Travis Kelce received $20M as a spokesperson for Pfizer. Kelce was Pfizer's spokesperson for their double shot for flu and COVID-19 vaccines campaign. Gross. Megyn Kelly is pissed…
Apparently there has been massive blowback and now Taylor has disabled comments on her post. Whenever someone disables comments, which she has for all of her posts, it’s a bad sign. That’s actually how you know Trump is going to win. Also, she’s kind of famous for choosing the wrong person over and over. Just saying.
All of that said, let's be clear--Trump definitely has better ideas (she has none as far as I can tell) and actual ways he would implement those ideas. In closing remarks, Trump finally remarked that Kamala has been in office for 3.5 years and hasn't implemented any of the policies she is talking about. He should have hammered that home throughout the debate. That’s a HUGE problem for her. At least it should be. Are we supposed to memory hole an entire presidency?
He also blew it on the abortion issue focusing on the extremely small number of people who decide to abort in the 9th month. As an aside, my friend just researched it and there are 9 states which allow for abortions up until the 9th month. During the debate, he should have just reiterated what the law of the land is which is that it is now it is up to the states and he could have pointed out there are many issues such as gun control, the death penalty, marijuana legalization and more which are also up to the states.
He should have said (I know I keep saying should have but he really should have) he would not enact a federal abortion ban more than once—3 or 4 times. The Democrats rely on this issue as well they should because it is important however they keep trying to portray him as pro-life (which should really be renamed anti-choice—who is not for life) but he is not.
Instead he comes up with this extreme situation which sounds stupid. He should have asked her more than once, at what month it is ok for a woman to have an abortion.
The fact that he speaks in hyperbole always talking about how he and all he does is the BEST, HISTORIC, PERFECT, TREMENDOUS, GREATEST and on and on, hurts him and to borrow one of his favorite words, tremendously. It’s obnoxious. Then his inflammatory statements like asking if Kamala Harris is really Black. He just comes off sounding like a real dick. That and the fact that he is 78 is not helping his cause.
I came across this post which I found really funny…
She on the other hand was obviously trained by the best, and did a great job with her word salad deluxe. I don't think she said one thing about what she would actually DO. She made it seem like she has all the right ideas without ever really giving a coherent, cogent answer. The moderators of the debate couldn’t get a single, straight policy answer out of her nor did they try.
Whoever wrote her script to answer questions by the moderators, did a fantastic job. I do believe she was given the questions in advance as Dana Walden is her bestie. Dana introduced Kamala to her now husband Doug. Dana Walden, a senior Disney executive whose portfolio includes ABC News, is one of Vice President Kamala Harris’ “extraordinary friends,” according to a report in the “New York Times.” That, on its face, seems unfair.
I think they should each get to choose a moderator of their choice and then that moderator gets to ask the other side adversarial questions. That would be a real debate. Or have AI moderate the debate and have it ask serious questions like how exactly do you plan on trying to end the forever wars which pose more of a risk than anything else?
Here’s what—Trump is not the best of human beings. He is cringe personified. He has treated women poorly, including his wives and his business practices have been questionable to say the least.
Take Trump University. Trump University was criticized for misleading students with promises of valuable real estate education, which many students claimed it failed to deliver. The legal battles culminated in a $25 million settlement, but Trump continued to deny any wrongdoing. The controversy over Trump University became a symbol of broader criticisms of Trump's business practices.
Then last night instead of addressing actual policy, he decides to talk about how the other side wants to execute infants and are fine with immigrants eating your cats. He needed to be measured but was not. She needed to seem capable which she was. Then the moderators just showed their bias outright. In short a bad recipe for Team Trump.
Kamala Harris stands for absolutely nothing that I can see. She was clearly and directly asked “Are the American people better off now than they were 4 years ago?” She did not say yes because the answer was no. Kamala Harris is simply not fit to be president.
Now do you see why I have wanted Kennedy from the start?
Then there’s this from Glenn Greenwald…Never once, not a single time, did the moderators ever tell Kamala Harris that anything she said was out of context, was misleading, was deceitful, was exaggerated, or was false, and it's not because Kamala Harris spoke for 90 minutes without uttering false statements.
She lied about Charlottesville, “Bloodbath”, Border Security, Project 2025, Fracking, IVF and more. The moderators refused to fact check her. No shame. While watching the debate, Abigail Shrier said: The moderators didn't fact check Kamala Harris on Project 2025. The moderators didn't fact check Kamala Harris on IVF. They just fact-checked Trump for the fourth time.
Lastly, who the hell is running the country right now? Are we just on self-driving mode? Is it Hillary? Know this…If there is a nuclear attack, the president has only minutes to decide how to respond, often within 5-10 minutes after being briefed.
Meanwhile we have a Democrat president who is at the beach somewhere while there are actual wars that he has given the ok to fund—meaning proxy wars—where we are actually in danger of a nuclear attack. Why was this not brought up at the debate? Is it going to take a mini nuclear war to wake everyone up?
The press needs to stop with the gaslighting. It makes me want to jump through glass. It’s fucking infuriating…
Will Win: Donald Trump
Should Win: Donald Trump
I still wish it had been RFKJ on that stage.
Now it’s time for TOTD. https://www.truepeoplesearch.com is the best website to search people up for free!
That’s all for now. Much Love, Sabrina
Right on!
So many good points! Like your headline: right message! Love reading your articles!
So true! I loved defending my voice to vote for Kennedy. It's a lot harder to defend voting for Trump, although he is still 100% better than Kamala. I had the same idea re debates, with a slight different twist. Instead of moderators asking questions, the candidates are allowed a certain number of questions each and a follow up to each question, to ask each other. The moderators just keep time and make sure no one is speaking out of turn. The fact checking is just garbage, that she be done on long format after the debate, by each side and published side by side.
